报告摘要:
When a complex network is slightly desynchronized, a few of the network nodes will be escaping from the uniform synchronization background frequently with a random fashion, leading to the intermittent network synchronization. Here, based on the eigenvectors of the network coupling matrix, we propose a new method which is able to figure out the unstable nodes in the general case of desynchronized complex networks. Moreover, with this method, we are also able to regulate the seemly random network dynamics into stable and visible synchronous patterns. The efficiency of this method is verified by a variety of network models, including varying the network structures, the node local dynamics, and the desynchronization types. Our studies show that, even for the complex network systems, synchronous patterns can still be identified and characterized.

X.G Wang studied at LudongUniversityfor his undergraduate degree. In 1997, he came toBeijingNormalUniversityfor PhD study and got the degree in 2002. His PhD thesis research was about measure synchronization in coupled Hamiltonian systems, carried out at the department of physics, under the supervision of Prof. Hu Gang. After gratuated, he joined the Temasek Laboratories at National University of Singapore as a research scientist, and worked there with Prof. Lai Choy Heng for six years, during which his main research interest has been focuing on the chaos-based secure communications and complex network analysis. In 2008, he moved back toChinaand found a position at the Physics Department of Zhejiang University. His research interest is about nonlinear dynamics and complex systems, including chaos theory and application, pattern formation, and complex networks analysis. Till now, he has published about 50 peer-reviewd papaers, which have collectd more than 400 citations.
